Match: Illustration Friday: Buck Match
Ok, I know this picture is not as detailed as some of my other work, but I did this at the last minute. I could not think of an idea that I wanted to do for sure until the last minute, and I had family visiting from out of town this week, so I did not have much time to spend on the project. I did this painting, another watercolor, in one hour, which is highly unusual for me, as I like to take my time and get the shading and details right. But, I ran out of time to do that, so I will have to submit this as is. I can get back to the details later on I guess. As late as I am submitting this, I'm not even sure if anyone will see it, but at least I can say I tried.

I'm quite amazed at how advanced your skills are, especially for your age. Your deer are beautifully drawn.
well if this is a quickie it still is spectacular with out the detail. like ur soft colors.
Those locking horns look quite challenging to draw and paint. Lovely effect on the grass ~ looks like I could reach out and touch it! Not bad for a quickie!
That's quite nice for an hour of work! Looking forward for more of your work.
Thanks for visiting my blog!
Really good poses on the deer. And the grass does have a good texture. Yeah, I was wondering if you were going to post something for this topic. Looks like you got in on time though. Good work.
:)=
That's great!
Wow! For a quick painting it's really well done. I like the simpicity too, without more detail. It adds to the sponteneity.
Beautiful sketching, beautiful animals, wish we had them here
Oh, I missed this my first go around! I'm so glad you submitted, so far I've found that it's -never- a loss to participate even if you're on very limited time. It's very active, a good look for you imo.

This is just beautiful...and to think that you could dash this off in an hour! Very talented!
